West Chester, Pa.— Bill McSwain, Republican candidate for Governor, today announced that he has received the endorsement of the Chester County Delegation of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania.
McSwain, a Chester county native, had this to say about the endorsement:
I’m a native son of Chester County. I’ve lived there my whole life. I met my wife, Stephanie, when we were in elementary school in our hometown of West Chester, where we raised our four children and still live today. I coached little league and soccer teams in Chester County. I know the families of Chester County and they know me.
Chester County is ready for change, and ready for a conservative leader who will fight to protect them from government overreach, intrusive regulations, and burdensome tax increases. I am proud to see my home county coming together to demand better for themselves, their neighbors, and their children, and am honored to receive the endorsement of the Chester County Delegation of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania. Together, we will work towards victory in November and a freer, safer, more prosperous Commonwealth for years to come.
Gordon Eck, Republican Committee of Chester County Chairman, emphasized his belief that McSwain is the only candidate who can beat Josh Shapiro:
Bill McSwain is the only candidate who can beat Josh Shapiro, and the kind of conservative fighter we need to defend law-abiding Pennsylvania families. In Chester County and across the Commonwealth, it is time for a Governor who will get the government off the backs of hard-working families by protecting the security, rights, education, and freedom of every Pennsylvanian. Bill McSwain will be that Governor. The Chester County Delegation of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania is proud to endorse our friend and lifelong Chester County resident, Bill McSwain.
Appointed by President Trump, McSwain’s record as US Attorney demonstrates his fierce defense of constitutional rights, dedication to upholding law and order, and history of putting criminals and corrupt politicians in jail.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Bill served as a scout/sniper platoon commander in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was born in Philadelphia and raised in Chester County, where he lives today with his wife, Stephanie, and their four children.More information on McSwain’s background and platform is available here.
